Our Program

We run as an Elementary Homeschool Hybrid which is designed for homeschooled students between the ages of 6 and 12. We offer a unique blend of two educational models, homeschooling and classroom learning. This provides the best of both worlds. This homeschooling partnership allows children to be a part of a classroom community for two days a week (six and a half hours each of those days). They then spend the remaining three days learning with their parents at home. This allows parents to maintain the primary responsibility for their child’s education at home while receiving support and genuine encouragement.

Math

Through the creative Montessori math materials in our room, we provide an experience with math where children learn through hands-on, visual, and tactile engagement. This hands-on experience creates a lasting knowledge of mathematical concepts into adulthood.

Language Arts

Reading and writing become the doorway to a world of learning. Through engagement with tactile materials, classical literature, sentence analysis , and so much more, children learn the necessary skill of language comprehension. Alongside this skill, children are learning the foundations of grammar and spelling.

Faith

Faith is not just a subject taught in the classroom, rather, it is the foundation of everything we teach. Through prayer, worship, and the telling of God's Word, students are drawn into the story of God and His people, all the while being invited into this grand narrative.

Practical Life

Through practical life lessons, the children learn a mutual respect for one another and the classroom enviroment. As part of a community, students are led through the most basic life lessons such as cleaning up after ones self, grace and courtesy for one another, and care of self.

By guiding children through these subject areas, our desire is that families feel more free to emerse in cultural studies at home. Parents are able to use whatever curriculum they like in order to teach history, geography, and science.

Pricing

There is a $100 annual membership fee per family.

The program fee for a school year is $2,500 per child.

With each additional child in the same family there is a $100 discount per-child, up to the third child.

Example: Child #1 = $2,500, Child #2 = $2,400, Child #3 = $2,300, Child #4 = $2,300.

Tour

Schedule a tour of our classroom to see our space. We want to talk face to face with you to share more about who we are and what makes us unique. This will help us see if Children of Light is the best choice for your family.

Apply

After you have had time to pray and have decided that Children of Light is a good fit for your family, you can fill out an application.

Enroll

Once you have been accepted, we will send you a welcoming note and further instructions on the enrollment process. Then, let the learning begin!
